This case study examines the experiences with quota implementation on the African continent. It provides information about the use of gender quotas as an instrument to increase women’s political representation in Africa, and includes case studies from Egypt, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Uganda.
