Iran: Iranian President appoints three women to cabinet

IRANIAN President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has moved to soften his hardline image by nominating three women to his cabinet following June's disputed election.As a trial began of 25 more activists and opposition supporters, Mr Ahmadinejad named MP Fatemeh Ajorlou as Social Welfare Minister and Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi as Health Minister. A third woman is to be named later.
