Report of the Fourth World Conference on Women

Beijing +20 is the process to assess the implementation by governments and other stakeholders of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action adopted at the 4th World Conference on Women in Beijing, China in 1995. These Beijing outcome document provides the most comprehensive global policy framework for the achievement of gender equality, development and peace. The UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the main body that monitors, reviews and evaluates the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and through its annual session in March and its five-year comprehensive review processes.
