Women in Parliaments (WIP), together with the Senate of the Mexican Republic, the Office of the President of Mexico, the Mexican Ministry of Interior, and the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is organizing the Women in Parliaments Global Forum Summit 2015. The event will take place in Mexico City, between 7 and 9 October 2015, within the facilities of the Mexican Foreign Ministry.

This is an international event with female Parliamentarians from all around the world designed to enable discussion on the necessary steps for increasing the number of women in decision making. The event will also count with the presence of Heads of State and high level representatives from the private and public sectors.

Working Group 4, on Peace and Security, is organized by UN Women. This WG will deal with the importance of including more women as negotiators in peace and reconciliation processes. In particular, discussions will be around the 15th anniversary of UN Security Council resolution 1325.
