Summary:

This poster provides a snapshot of the presence of women in the executive and legislative branches of government in January 2008. Co-published with the United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women, the poster provides information on the percentage of women in ministerial posts, women in parliaments, women in the highest decision-making bodies (women Presidents or heads of Government, women Presiding Officers of parliamentary bodies), as well as information on the ministerial portfolios held by women throughout the world.
