Interventions directed at ending gender-based violence (GBV) are complex, as they must involve both prevention and response and must be tailored to specific geographic, socio-political, and cultural contexts. When GBV interventions are implemented in a country currently or recently in conflict, interventions must also be tailored to where a country is situated along the relief-development continuum.
