The 53rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women
The 53rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women will be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York from March 2 - 13, 2009. The priority theme of this year's session is "The equal sharing of responsibilities between women and men, including caregiving in the context of HIV/AIDS." For more information about this year's priority theme, click here.
During this year's CSW session, iKNOW Politics and its partners will present a side event entitled “Getting Ahead: Testimonials from Women Political Leaders.” The event will be held on March 4, 2009 from 1:15 pm -2:45 pm in Room 4 at the UN Headquarters in New York. The event will host a panel discussion with prominent women leaders sharing their experiences and personal stories about entering politics and getting ahead in it.
We would like to invite everyone who attends the CSW event this year and who are interested in it to share their thoughts and opinions about the priority theme and issues around it.
Sincerely,
iKNOW Politics Team
