Gender based violence- The case of Zambia
Although Zambia has never been to war, women are still abused and undergo a lot of pain within their communities.
Cases of rape, wife battering and sexual violence continue to be the order of the day.
Each day one opens the daily papers, there is always a report of a woman killed by her husband, usually for petty reasons.
Lets work together and get rid of all these abuses. We need to share information and encourage women in the community to report cases of abuse to the Police and local organisations sealing with issues of human rights.

Honorine
Greetings - decided to look you up and found you on this site. Glad to see you still battling on and that there's still hope. Don't give up. I never got around to writing my book which was going to be called "Travels with Kalushya" - remember naming my Landcruiser on that trip???
Hope you and your family are well.

Active Role of men
Men should get involved in every aspect of awareness, training and etc. concerning the minimizing of abuses our women are going through. This is so serious and constant because the men are left out when it comes to awareness, counselling and education.
Sexual Exploitation & Abuse
Hi Women:
I would like to say this is a very big issue, we need to address in our society, that is sexual exploitation and abuse, it is a part of SGBV. We will have to work with the SGBV Task Force that is headed by the Ministry f Gender and Development to over come this nightmare in our Country. If we do not work on this issue, our will have a lots of women and girls that may not be able to contribute to the recovery process that is ongoing, you know the saying" a health of a Nation is measure against the health of the women".
I say take courage and let us keep on working to create a society healthy for both sexes.
Peace!
