This information kit was published on the occasion of the 50th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. The data sheets contain information on the presence of women in national parliaments; the progress and setbacks of women in national parliaments between 1995-2006; women in the Central American Parliament and the European Parliament; the history and numbers of women heads of state or government from 1945-2006; and the participation of women and men in parliamentary decision-making.
