The recently concluded 53rd session on the Commission on Status of Women adopted on 13th March 2009, the following as an 'agreed conclusion' of the commission: "Enhance collection and dissemination of statistics on the relative participation of women and men in leadership roles in public office and in strategic economic, social and political decision-making positions, in order to promote the equal sharing of responsibilities between women and men in these spheres;"(p.9,ww). On the conclusion of CSW, iKNOW Politics initiated an Ediscussion focusing on 'working with men to promote women in politics'. To participate click here.
