iKNOW Politics creates and shares knowledge worldwide through its Ask the Experts feature, discussion forums, and the online resource library.
iKNOW Politics offers a unique tool that allows its members to ask questions of over 100 internationally recognized
experts on issues of women in politics. The experts readily provide their expertise and share their experiences
in response to queries from members.
We are pleased to highlight the iKNOW Politics consolidated response on Working with Women
Candidates and Women Voters During Elections, prepared to reply to a query from an iKNOW Politics member from Sudan.
This consolidated response highlights tools used to empower women candidates and political leaders, and provides several recommendations on
how to reach out to women voters before and during elections, proactively engage women in voter registration, and hold voter education campaigns
targeting both women and men. This consolidated response was compiled in consultations with leading international and regional experts and through
in-depth research conducted by the iKNOW Politics staff.

iKNOW Politics maintains an online library including hundreds of reports, handbooks and training materials from international agencies,
research institutions, academia and civil society groups. We recommend the following recently added resources:
This brochure provides an overview and analysis of progress made, and setbacks encountered, by women in accessing
parliament during elections and renewals held in 2007.
This manual is to enable young women to prepare and facilitate training on a host of issues that are important to them, including young
women’s leadership and human rights.
This guide focuses on how to collaborate around women's empowerment and gender equality issues at the country level and to mainstream
gender equality concerns into gender related international programs and plans of action.

unite in a common goal to save humanity, especially children, from experiencing war catastrophes and facing the brunt of such disasters,
and I think, the UN should lead the efforts to achieve this goal.”
