Gender Quota Win the Day in Lesotho

I agree with this apt description of gender quotas being a "jump start" mechanism.

It should become a way of life that women aspire to stand for elections, are educated and trained and SUPPORTED to take up any office.

It should be about quality and not quantity, neither should it be a way of shutting our loud voices but responding to times and needs to include women in governance.

The greatest challenge lies in women not forgetting why they ended up in those offices or isolating themselves from grassroots groups and choosing to play golf to learn men's strategies on the course, unconsciously dumping their natural gift to lead, support systems and missing an opportunity to serve and impact on policy and society!
