iKNOW Politics Announces New Initiative – Peer Groups
To continue bringing women politicians together to exchange experiences, skills and knowledge, iKNOW Politics is launching the peer groups initiative. Peer groups will create opportunities for women leaders and candidates to talk to other women around the world who hold the same positions or have the same responsibilities as they do. Each peer group will be focused on a selected theme and available only to the participants of this group. This will allow peer group members to share their their ideas, to seek and provide advice on political skills, and to learn about policies and strategies implemented in other countries only with the selected group of participants. When the peer group concludes its discussion and feels that it has provided responses to critical issues to its best capacity, iKNOW Politics staff will write a summary of the discussion and post it on its website for the public use. However, the comments made by each individual within the peer group will be kept confidential. We are currently establishing peer groups of women who currently or formerly held the following posts: If you or someone you know would like to be invited to join one of these groups, please e-mail connect@iknowpolitics.org with “peer group” in the subject line, the name of the group you wish to join, and a brief biography.
