The Turkish media are not keen on highlighting women’s issues, and when it comes to the Arab spring, it follows the same policy and neglects women most of the time. The Turkish media generally are unable to understand and reflect developments in the Arab world due to their narrow-minded perception, which must change.

There are many conspiracy theories concerning the Arab spring that basically claim powers that are trying to reshape the world and the Middle East are behind these developments. I am not ruling out this possibility. But even if they are involved, they started after the demonstrations of the people; Arab people want to live free and in dignity, especially the women.
