Learning opportunity: Program in Gender, Leadership and Public Policy

The Program in Gender, Leadership and Public Policy was founded more than 40 years ago and has been a premiere training ground for women leaders. The program’s academic home is within the John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston. The program focuses on political structures and processes, the effects of public policies on women, women’s influence in politics, and the formulation and implementation of public policy. The role of gender, race/ethnicity, and class in politics and policymaking is central to the program’s design, goals, and curriculum. I seeks to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to launch meaningful careers as leaders at all levels of government, including elective and appointive office, or in nonprofit organizations. Click here for more information on the program.
