Budgeting for Women's Rights: Monitoring Government Budgets for Compliance with CEDAW

This report aims to develop ideas that may be useful in monitoring the compliance of government budgets with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). It attempts to clarify how gender budget analysis can help in monitoring compliance with CEDAW, and how CEDAW can help to set criteria for what constitutes gender equality in budgetary matters.
