Attitudes on gender equality in the United Kingdom

On January 15, 2016, the Fawcett Society published the full ‘Sex Equality: State of the Nation 2016’ report. This report summarizes findings from a poll of 8,000 men and women on attitudes and beliefs on gender equality.




The ‘State of the Nation’ poll reveals that generally there is broad support for gender equality across ages and genders in the UK. These are some key findings:
