AS the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries draw nearer, a House of Representatives aspirant, Honourable Fatai Olukoga, has urged more women and youths to participate in party politics.

Olukoga, who is seeking to represent Ikorodu Federal Constituency, said this was necessary because of their vital roles in the life of a nation.

He spoke at a reception organised in his honour by the G-52, which parades eminent APC members in Ikorodu under the chairmanship of a former deputy governor in the state, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye.

The aspirant noted that while women remained the mothers of every nation, the youths formed the cornerstone of economic growth and development in all ramifications.

Accordingly, he said, no country can afford to toy with the place of its women and youths if it desires a true political and socio-economic advancement and progress.

In separate speeches on the occasion, the party leaders expressed confidence that Olukoga would be a worthy ambassador of the constituency based on his exemplary leadership, and ensure that the area got a fair deal from the centre if elected.
