The Government of Iraq is in the process of drafting a public procurement law. This drafting phase provides an opportunity to incorporate specific incentives for women within the law. It is expected that with these provisions, Iraqi women’s opportunities to be contracted by the Government will be enhanced as well as their economic participation.
