Malaysia: PBB Youth welcomes candidates from women’s wing for GE

Source:

The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth wing said it would welcome a woman candidate from the party’s Women’s wing in the 13th general election.

Its chief Datuk Fadillah Yusof noted that during the last state election, PPB which formed the backbone of the state Barisan Nasional (BN), fielded 10 candidates, mostly from the Youth wing.

“In the last state election, the new faces were from the Youth wing, aged 45 and below. It is fair for us to give the opportunity to the Women’s wing to get more seats. We look at the bigger picture as it is not about self-interest,” he told reporters after the launch of six new Dunham-Bush products here yesterday.
