Positioning Pacific Women for Progress, Politics and Peace

This report provides an overview of a UNIFEM-sponsored training programme and congress on women's political participation in the Pacific region. It contains a summary of the discussions from these events, which focused on two main themes: the factors that thwart the efforts of women to attain equal partnership in decision-making; and the ways in which citizens and leaders could shift old paradigms to achieve an equitable society.
