Call for Applications: Women In Politics Capacity Building Training, Fiji

Applications for a Women In Politics Capacity Building Training are now invited by femLINKPACIFIC, the National Council of Women (NCW), Soqosoqovakamarama (SSVM) and the Fiji Women’s Rights Movement (FWRM)

Terms of Reference for Participants

The convening partners are seeking the participation and representation of aspiring women candidates and campaign managers from political parties and independent women candidates who are actively contributing in advancing gender equality in Fiji towards the general elections in 2014.

Participants:

Should be independent women candidates, women candidate from a political party or campaign managers.
Should have some background knowledge on women human rights, national gender policies &/or gender and development.
Should give attention to maximum issue coverage, diversity and intersectional identity issues - the conveners strongly encourage the participation of young women, women with disabilities, women living with HIV, lesbian, bisexual and transgender women, and women from ethnic minorities and other marginalized groups.

Training dates:
Module 1 - February 4 - 6, 2014
Module 2 - March 12 - 14, 2014
Module 3 - April 8 - 10, 2014
Mock Parliament Session - April 16 – 17, 2014

Applicants must indicate availability to attend all module trainings and the mock parliament session.
