Reflect us: we can only succeed if we work together

Source: Reflect us

ReflectUS is a nonpartisan coalition of eight leading women’s political organizations working together to increase the number of women in office and achieve equal representation across the ideological, racial, ethnic and geographic spectrum. Joining forces as a record number of women are poised to run for office in the 2018 elections and beyond, the organizations – Empowered WomenHigher HeightsIGNITELatinasRepresentRepresentWomenShe Should RunVoteRunLead and Women Influencers Network – are taking action because they refuse to wait any longer for representation in the 520,000 elected offices across the United States.

Female leaders continue to prove they are better prepared to find compromise, govern effectively, and achieve results for our country. Through taking a collaborative, data-driven approach to the gender disparity crisis,  ReflectUS open doors to the electoral system and expand public education outreach on the importance of women in political leadership.

At present, women make up 19% of Congress, 25% of state legislature officials and 20 percent of locally-elected positions. Beyond the statistics, women across the country are demanding equality and respect at every level of society – from the workplace to the halls of Congress.
